Looking Glass Community Services is seeking a dynamic and driven Philanthropy Officer to develop and lead our major gifts program!

The Philanthropy Officer is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of individual donors and prospects capable of making significant financial contributions to support the organization's mission. This is an opportunity to be part of a passionate and collaborative team dedicated to providing assistance to individuals in our community, helping them lead more productive and fulfilling lives. We offer a wide range of services aimed toward solving challenges related to educational deficits, behavioral health issues, drug addiction, and homelessness. Our organization is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and is committed to providing exceptional customer service to the children, adolescents, and adults of Lane County.

We are open to candidates looking for a ¾-time or full-time role, and we are willing to provide coaching and support to the right individual, especially someone who is eager to grow, committed to building strong donor relationships, and deeply aligned with our mission and values.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant fundraising experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Demonstrated success in major gifts or individual giving, with a track record of building and maintaining donor relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and connect with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with high levels of initiative, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Ability to work and communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including senior management, volunteers, and program and finance staff.
  • Proficiency with donor databases (e.g., Little Green Light, Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A strong commitment to Looking Glass Community Service's mission and values.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Long-term nonprofit experience.
  • Familiarity with planned giving, capital campaigns, or donor advisory work.
  • Experience working with or for organizations focused on youth, homelessness, advocacy, education, family services.

Compensation and Work Environment

  • Salary is commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits package offered.
  • Primarily working out of the office, in the community and from home office with access to in office workspace on occasion, as needed.
  • Some weekends and evenings required.
