Our Regional Crisis Center is Hiring Instructional Assistants!

The Instructional Assistant (IA) works in a team teaching environment at Looking Glass' Regional Crisis Center. The IA assists in classroom activities, classroom duties (grading student work, sending record requests, attendance, helping with special education records, writing classroom logs, redirecting negative student behaviors, etc.), and addressing the individual education needs of students.

Folks with an Associates or Bachelors degree are highly encouraged to apply! Experience working with adolescents with behavioral needs preferred but not required.

Successful IAs have confidence in Language Arts and Mathematical skills, and are working towards or have a Bachelor's degree in education, social services, business-related, or a related field. As a youth mentor and role model, you will be motivating students regarding their educational goals. A minimum of 1 year of experience working as an Instructional Assistant is preferred.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am-4pm

Pay: $22/hour

This is a full-time, 40 hours/week position

About Regional Crisis Center

RCC, or the Regional Crisis Center, is a PRTS/subacute residential facility where youth are placed directly from the Department of Human Services. RCC provides residential living facilities, mental health treatment, family counseling, substance use disorders treatment, and academic instruction and education on-site. RCC clients often display acute behaviors and have multiple mental or behavioral challenges. RCC uses verbal de-escalation tactics as well as treatments such as seclusion rooms and full-body restraints when necessary to ensure the safety of our clients.
